Police are investigating after a home in Auckland’s Māngere was shot at last night.

Officers were called to Plumley Crescent shortly before 9pm after “reports of a firearm being discharged towards an address”.

“Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in relation to this matter,” a spokesperson said.

Police said the community can expect an increased police presence as inquiries continued today.

“We encourage anyone else who was in the area or has information to assist who has not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch.”

Earlier this month, homes were reportedly shot at in Onehunga and Māngere East on the same night.

At the time Police Minister Mark Mitchell said it was “the things that keep me awake at night” and although it was unclear if the incident was gang-related, he said the Government would be “tough on gangs”.
