Arrest made following Auckland hit and run

A man has been arrested and charged after a vehicle that collided with a pedestrian in Auckland’s Ōtara yesterday evening was located.

The man, 25, has been charged with wounding with intent and failing to stop or ascertain injury.

He is due to appear in Manukau District Court tomorrow.

The pedestrian remains in hospital, where police yesterday said they were in a critical condition.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact them via phone number 105 referencing file number 231225/9629.
