A 1News reporter said workers at a joinery factory were having farewell drinks for a friend when they were disturbed by a large group of people in noisy cars. One person said the drivers and their associates were told to leave and the situation swiftly escalated.

“They reckon a group of nine boy racers have started smashing windows and have managed to get inside and were throwing rocks at the occupants.”

The reporter said almost every window in the building appeared to have been smashed.
