A vehicle and house in Auckland’s North Shore were damaged by gunfire this morning.

At around 6.31am, police received several reports of gunshots being heard around the Tui Park area of Beach Haven.

A the scene, police found several bullet casings outside an address on nearby Rambler Cres.

“A home and a vehicle had sustained some damage but thankfully, no one was injured during the incident,” a police statement said. “There will be a police presence in the area throughout the day, as we continue to make enquiries.”

Police asked anyone with information on the incident to call them on 105 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers.

It follows a string of incidents in the past two months where homes in Auckland have been shot at overnight. On Saturday night shots were fired at a home in Māngere. No-one was injured.
