Armed police have cordoned off a road in Auckland’s Grey Lynn this evening after a report of a gun being fired and someone injured.
Officers were called about to a property on Tuarangi Road, Grey Lynn after “a report of a firearm being discharged” shortly before 7pm.
“Initial reports are that there have been injuries,” a police spokesperson said.
Cordons are in place while emergency services work at the scene.
“Further information will be provided when it is available,” police said.
Images from the scene showed emergency services attending included an ambulance.
A resident in the area told 1News a helicopter was also circling overhead.
