A mysterious health condition in which a 17-year-old girl bleeds from her eyes, ears, fingernails and tongue has left doctors in England scratching their heads.

They have no cure for Marnie Harvey’s condition who said she has been going through this harrowing experience for the last three years when she woke up from sleep to find blood spots on her pillow.

She’s seen eye specialists, gynaecologists, haematology experts, neurologists and paediatricians to try to find the cause.

“It burns and then if it covers the pupils of my eye I can’t see,” she told BBC’s Newsbeat.

It all began when the teenager, from Stoke-on-Trent, started coughing up blood in March 2013.

That continued for a couple of years until she woke in the night in July 2015 with her face covered in blood. She was bleeding from her eye, Newsbeat said.

The bleeding spread to different parts of her body and blood oozed out of her ‘eyes, ears, nose, fingernails, scalp and tongue up to five times a day’.

The teenager is confined to her home and she suffers from horrendous headaches, constant sickness and bloody cough.

The doctors believe she is the only person in England suffering from this mysterious condition.

The parents are now desperately looking for help to spare their daughter this kind of pain and hence want to spread the word on her condition to find a cure to whatever ails her.
