One person suffered serious injuries in what appeared to be a fleeing driver incident in Tongatapu last night at about 11.30pm.
A car crashed into a stone fence at the t-intersection which connects Sālote and By-Pass roads.
It is believed the pursuit began after an altercation in central Nuku’alofa in which police were called.
Witnesses told Kaniva News the driver failed to stop.
Officers then activated their lights and sirens and initiated the pursuit.
Police could not be reached for comment.
